Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment to Accessibility
RestoPros of Central Maryland wants every visitor, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to find information about our water damage, fire damage, mold, and reconstruction services and to reach us when they need help. We are working to make our website usable for visitors with a range of abilities, including those who navigate with a screen reader, voice input, keyboard-only controls, or magnification tools.
Standard We’re Working Toward
We aim to align this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard covers things like sufficient color contrast, text that resizes without breaking the layout, descriptive link text, form fields with clear labels, and page structure that reads logically with a screen reader. We review the site periodically against these guidelines and correct issues as they’re identified, whether that’s through our own testing or feedback from a visitor.
What We’ve Built In
Our pages are structured with semantic headings so screen readers can move through content in a sensible order. Navigation menus, the phone number in the header, and the contact form are built to be reachable by keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse. Images include descriptive alt text where they convey information relevant to understanding the page. If you come across a page element that doesn’t behave this way, that’s useful for us to know about and we’ll take a look.
Known Limitations
No website is perfectly accessible to every user on every device and browser combination, and ours is no exception. Third-party embeds, such as a mapping widget or an insurance carrier’s portal link, may not fully meet the same standard we hold for our own pages, since we don’t control their code. Where we’re aware of a limitation like this, we try to provide the same information in an alternate, accessible format elsewhere on the page.
Reporting an Issue
If you run into a barrier using this site, whether that’s a page that won’t load correctly with your screen reader, a form you can’t complete, or text you can’t read at a comfortable size, please let us know. Contact us by phone at (240) 261-1639 or by email at drestum@restopros.co, and describe the page and the problem as specifically as you can. That detail helps us find and fix the issue faster.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and to address confirmed issues within a reasonable timeframe, prioritizing barriers that prevent someone from reaching our contact information or requesting an estimate. If you need information from this site urgently, such as our phone number or service area, and you’re unable to access it due to a technical barrier, call us directly and we’ll help you over the phone in the meantime.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a one-time fix for us; it’s something we revisit as we update the site, add new service pages, or change how content is laid out. We welcome feedback at any time, not just when something is broken, if there’s a way we could make this site easier to use.
